Limited Edition Backpack $225
I teamed up with Rivendell Mountain Works to create a limited edition backpack to benefit Million Trees NYC—a citywide initiative dedicated to planting and caring for one million new trees across New York City’s five boroughs.
Living in New York City makes you acutely aware of the beneficial
effects Nature can play on large urban environments. Trees are an
integral part of New York City—they help clean our air, reduce the
pollutants that trigger asthma
attacks, and make New York City an even more beautiful and comfortable
place to live, work, and visit. To support Million Trees NYC, I will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each backpack.
The backpack’s generous capacity and durable construction offers
versatility across a variety of outings—from daily errands and commuting
to overnight camps and technical day hikes. Regardless of what you’re
carrying, the backpack maintains great
stability by having a large contact area with your back that doesn’t
restrict or interfere with arm movement.
The backpack is constructed with a sturdy yet lightweight mix of Cordura® and 1000 Denier fabric and features a large main compartment, an interior zippered pocket, and a collection of unique details—a custom embroidered Million Trees NYC patch, adjustable sternum strap, integrated foam backing, padded shoulder straps, an oversized (#10) nylon coil YKK zipper, nylon tool loops, leather zipper pulls, one inch waist belt with side release buckle, 12 barbell leather tie-on points, and a leather haul strap. The custom embroidered patch is inspired by the patches I collected on family vacations and reflects the inclusion of Nature
within the urban landscape.
